Sending letter to my friend, Dreams of peace

Good evening, Dreams of peace!

I always dreamed of all people standing with wavering flags of peace.
No war, No dispute, No Chaos!

Dreams of Peace!
I called a lot of times, but you can never answer me.
but It is time that you have to come out!
Please see and feel their anxiety.

Can you feel their heartbeat?
I wannaa see your face at the top of mountain.

I feel sorry who cannot see your face.
If they see your face, all of them cannot leave you and come to you.

Nowadays, I feel the wind of change in this world.
People's life is longer than that in the past.
also I can see a lot of activities(just like IPYG) based on peace.

I felt alone because no one could know my desire for you.
but in these days, people's mind get warmed by the wind of change.

Full of love, Full of Hope
I want to hug with you till the end of time.

Today, it's raining heavily and sparkling thunder all around.
but end of this time, Sun gives a mild smile for me just like you.

I wait for you in my deepest mind with a small candle of light.
Please knocking at the gate of my spirit, and I will open my mind for you.

Come quickly! My Anxiety!

Sincerely yours
From a shiny boy

IPYG, Giving Light of Peace to this world!

Our world is suffering from many disaster, war, earthquake, dispute....
it occured many places in this beatiful planet.

I wonder mindset of all world peoeple are naturally distorted by invisible thing
How can people fight each other? How come?

I always want to live with my family(friends, lovers, etc) in happy mood.

But it's not easier to come closer to person that has different thinking.
I felt like going under and under to space that has no support at the bottom.

While I am talking to my friends with the subject as mentioned above,
My friend always says "Don't take care about it, Let's Drink!"I
I felt like being frustrated

After that time,
On my way to business trip to Busan,
I saw a lot of people walking around the city
They're walking along the side walk and holding banners of worldpeace
They were working at IPYG(International Peace Youth Group) for worldpeace.

I think worldpeace is just like a word in textbook.
Because it cannot be realized into physics in our world till nowadays.
Many Peace activitist have their catchphrase and do their act in enthusiastic mood,
but it just did in temporily and their outcome always disappeared quickly.

But Peace Walk movements in Busan makes my mind hot and outraged.
I am also in youth ages, but I did not act like them.
Their behavior comes into my mind, as lighthouse shines his light to the darkest Sea.

After seeing that, I come back to my business accomodation and think about Peace.
I thought and thought that the meaning of peace and how can it achieve at this world.
Also, I searched IPYG on the internet and study about their activity.

I found that the amazing things
They declare worldpeace and do their activities in a variety fields of this world.
(Sports, Volunteer to help Social Communities, etc)
Many people in our world follow their mottos(they have 235 affiliates in the world)

I thank for their works and also want to be part of them.
Would you like to join?
It will be an excting jouney of your life!

Working for Peace : No one can deny this is the answer of our living world!

Even though some time has already passed, whenever I hear the word "peace", there is a ringing in my heart.

A few weeks ago, I visted the U.N Memorial Park with my children.
We were walking around here and there when we saw a large crowd gathered in one area.

People of various races, color and nations along with a magnificent band were preparing some parade.  And there was one man proclaiming peace on the podium.

Honestly speaking, the idea of peace is something we are all familiar with, but it never really struck a chord with me.  Peace was always vague and distant.

Our world is suffering everyday from wars and oppression, yet the reality is that we just watch these incidents
as if they were some fire accident occuring across the street.

The speech I happened to hear by chance that afternoon still lingers in my heart.

The truth is, there are many people in the world who work for peace and many who have won awards for their efforts towards peace.
Yet, there is not one place on this earth where peace exists.

The speaker urged the importance of those working for peace to be united as one.  There is no you and me, high and low- we must all work together as one.

This statement really made a strong impression in my heart.

I'm Catholic and even though the person next to me is Muslim, if we truly became one there would be no reason to fight for religious reasons.  And I also
realized that there would be no reason to criticize and point fingers at each other.

The reason why we couldn't become united as one was because we were so busy claiming that MY religion was the best.  As a result, rather than achieving peace we have
been living in a world with unending violence and wars.

The speaker's words, that it is our duty to end wars so that we can leave peace as an inheritance to our descendants, remains in my ears.

It felt as if all people of the world were gathered together in the U.N. Memorial Cemetery.

Through the voices and every motion of the people gathered on that day, I can feel the deep longing and desperation for peace.

Even though the crowd was shouting for peace in their own respective languages, they became one through their gestures and no one could deny their sincerity.

They were all holding signs with words displaying their longing for peace written in their own languages.

Have you seen their joyful expressions as they participated in the Peace Walk(IPYG Peace walk)?

Regardless of age, race and gender, everyone became one that day as they shouted their yearning for peace in one voice.

It was an event that I happened to come across by chance, but I'm so thankful and blessed to have participated.

It made me think that, the confident and resounding voice proclaiming peace on the podium along with the large crowd united as one,
is what true peace is.

It was an unforgettable moment that made me realize that true peace will be possible when all people set aside their differences and become one.

IPYG, Effort to Recovery of Human Dignity

I was so pleased and happy to get to know IPYG, International Peace Youth Group.
I  am so excited  that we can leave a peace to our next generation and be a peace maker!

I had seen a video about the evils of war.
A documentary reporter had taken that video when he had been in the war place.
There was a boy who didn’t eat a piece of apples but went to a corner.
The reporter was curious so chased him.
He could see a dying baby with a too swollen  stomach unusually for the famine.
The boy went to his younger brother and gave an apple to him.
Though he was starved, he wanted to save his dying brother.

We know that war violates human dignity and leaves only sacrifices of youth and kids.
The chairman of IPYG claims that Why is young life thrown away without having had a chance to bloom because of war?”

How nice the words are!
I agree to their request that the head of every country should sign an international agreement to bring all wars to an end.
He says We can be one in one truth, before one God,  and make a world peace. We can join in his peaceful movement! I certainly believe it is our mission as a youth in the world!

IPYG for Peace, the mission for our dreams!

What do think about peace?
Someone said 'peace is healthy state to conduct and establish something' .
in other  words, peace can be refered to possibility to fulfill human's specific dreams.
But all over the world, who can dream a dream getting aside few people.
Many of people are at risk of massacre and genocide.
The tragedy happened in this time. We are very sad to watch those videos.
Orphans remains. The poor children weep beside their dead parents.
Oh it is heartaching sadness.
IPYG was born notwithstanding this tragedy of the world.
IPYG has courage to have direct contact with former and current presidents all over the world.
Morever the chairman toured around the world 10 times in order to meet terrified youth intimately.
So 270 youth groups are currently affiliated with IPYG.
Who can argue the cause of international war?
Who can tour around the world to seek refuge and descarded people all over the world.
I am proud of Korea.
Because we were afflicted under historical hardships but we can afford to embrace and understand by our chairman.
Our chair man has ingredients to fulfill peace all over the world.

On the 13th of April 2014, the IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) hosted the victory cup for peace

It is a recurring theme for IPYG to organize sports and cultural events to help others and to promote positive premises, using the passion that sports provide and the opportunities that arise to meet others and make new friendships.

On the 13th of April 2014, the IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) hosted the victory cup for peace in Thailand.

This cup as the name says, was held with the idea of reaching to the Thai community and giving them some support, letting them know that others are aware of their situation and that it is important to the outside world.

The small tournament took place in Busan University's football pitch and did not only involve football but also had a relay race and a dance performance by the IPYG.

The participating teams in the cup were BMT FC A and BMT FC B (the BMT FC team was split into two teams), Sasang FC and Thai FC which were both Thailand teams.

In the early morning the day had actually been very rainy, which caused some delays to the event, however the weather improved greatly later on and everyone was able to enjoy a great time.

Opening match: BMT FC A 3 – Sasang Fc 1

The opening match was between BMT FC A and Sasang FC.
From the very start the Titans were more calm than their opponents who seemed to be a little nervous, this gave the Titans a great advantage which let them display some very nice team plays and overall superiority.

Very early on the game Titan's striker Will scored a lovely goal after a wonderful team play that had been created by a sequence of perfect passing between the BMT FC.

A couple of minutes later Sasang FC was able to tie the match through a mid distance volley kick
by one of their midfielders, this ball made a strange curve which caught BMT FC's keeper Meu off pace and thus ended inside the goal.

However the BMT FC bounced back after just a few minutes, finding the net again through a nice individual play by midfielder Ross Davies, who shot into the net from a very narrow angle inside the box.

Before the first half was over BMT FC's Will once again scored a nice goal by running through the defense and surprising everyone with an unexpected finish.

The second half was dominated by the Titans but there were no goals scored.

The game ended 3‐1 in favor of BMT FC, but it could have had more goals as there were plenty of scoring opportunities for the Titans throughout the game.Sasang FC on the other hand only had two shots on goal however they made a good effort and showed their friendly spirit at the end of the match when they greeted the BMT FC.

Second match: BMT FC B 1 – Thai FC 0

The second match was betweenBMT FC B (which had a few first time players in the roster) and Thai FC, this match was fast paced although there was only one goal the overall match was very dynamic. The only goal was scored byBMT FC's Irish striker Denis, there were other opportunities for goalscoring that couldn't be finished well by bad luck.

Although the B team had a few new players who were there for the first time, the team actually played quite well starting with a strong defense led by Danilo and a generally balanced team.

Third place match: Sasang FC 1 – Thai FC 0

The two losing teams played a match for the third spot in the tournament, Sasang FC beat Thai FC only by one goal difference which was scored in the final minutes of the match.

Relay race

Before the final match of the tournament, a small relay race was held, this was a nice opportunity for fast runners to try their speed against each other.
The relay race has become a small tradition that provides variety and some additional fun to IPYG events.

Dance performance by IPYG

While the  sides were preparing for the final match, one final part of the event took place, a dance performance by the mBMT FC members of IPYG, followed by some group photos and group fun. As this took place the sky had cleared and the sun was shinning, this way the final game was going to be held under ideal conditions.

Final match: BMT FC A 2 – BMT FC B 1

The final was disputed by BMT FC A and B.
Before the match began, putting usual team members against each other, BMT FC B's witch doctor Bonga passed by every player of the BMT FC A lineup placing a temporary African spell to lower their skill, this however did not have such a great effect as in the end BMT FC A would take the cup.

The first goal was scored after another appearance by Will, who was very effective in both matches, however BMT FC B managed to tie the game through Denis, who had also scored on the first match for his side.

The game was very even as Danilo would stop the A team's attacks on most occasions and the A team's mid field would cut most attacks from the B side.

The tie was broken finally through a powerful attack by Timur, who rocketed the ball into the net from the side.

A few extra chances for both teams were created but the end result was 2‐1. BMT FC A and B were once more a whole team, taking the Victory cup home.

The organization was good, although the weather conditions in the morning and some other factors caused some unwanted delays, which made the games shorter than originally intended, however overall everyone enjoyed the experience and all the members of IPYG who helped to organize and manage the event should be commended and appreciated for their hard work and good will.

As with every time that IPYG organizes events, the day was celebrated with a lot of fun and healthy competition. In the end everyone got together to greet one another, happy to having had an opportunity to enjoy the day and make new friends.

A lot of IPYG members continued the fun for a little while longer, going out for food together after the event had ended.
Everyone ended the day hoping to enjoy more days like that.
